Patty A. Gorbet


Patty A. (Kendall) Gorbet, age 87, of Blue Springs, Missouri, passed away on October 3, 2024. A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, October 9 from 1 to 2 p.m. at Royer Funeral Home, 100 Royer Lane, Grain Valley, Missouri. Memorials can be directed to Faith Home Health & Hospice in Gladstone, Missouri or a charity of your choice.

Patty was born on July 4, 1937, to Hosea “H.O.” and E. Emogene Kendall in Salisbury, Missouri. Patty was employed at Avon for more than 25 years starting at the Kansas City branch and relocating with the company to Suwanee, Georgia. She dearly loved her family including the caring staff at the Waterford Ladies Home. Patty enjoyed listening to Elvis and country music, watching hummingbirds, Mexican food at Jose Peppers, playing cards and bingo, and especially bargain shopping.

She is survived by her daughters, Linda (Larry) Roark of Blue Springs, Missouri and Janet (Kevin) Hathaway of Kansas City, Missouri; three grandchildren, Carly (Zach) Crooks of Ottawa, Kansas, Adam (Courtnie) Cain of Olathe, Kansas, and Jared (Katie Binversie) Morris of Sussex, Wisconsin; six great grandchildren, and her brother Ronnie (Carole) Kendall of Anderson, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers Jim, Wayne, Claude, George and Russell Kendall; and sisters Pauline Guier, Sharon Jones, and Beverly Sue Kendall.

Patty has been cremated under the direction of Royer Funeral Home.

  1. This woman is the strongest, bravest, person I have known, and I am blessed that she was my grandma. She did everything in life with grace, patience, and love. She set the bar high and I can only hope to live up to the example she set. Her love was unmatched and she will be missed.
