Paul Creston Ackley II, 76, of Bates City, MO passed away Friday March 1, 2013. Visitation will be 6-8 pm Monday 4, 2013 at Royer Funeral Home, Oak Grove, MO. Cremation. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Community Service League.
Paul was born September 20, 1936 in Clinton, IA to Paul Creston & Doris (Raymond) Ackley. Paul married Winifred Buehler on October 12, 1964. He worked at Armco Steel for 27 years as a welder and retired in 1990.
Paul stayed busy working on his Model T and enjoyed flying airplanes, riding motorcycles and snowmobiles. He enjoyed spending time with his family, grandchildren & great-grandchildren. Paul worked hard all his life.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents: Paul C. Ackley Sr. & Doris Ackley.
Paul is survived by his wife, Winnie Ackley of the home; 1 son: Paul Creston Ackley III (Cathy) of Oak Grove, MO; 1 daughter: Lisa Walters (Darrell) of Oak Grove, MO; 7 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren.
