Peggy Jean Rider, 83, of Milan, MO formerly of Independence, MO passed away Wednesday, July 7, 2010 at the Wright Memorial Hospital in Trenton, MO. Services will be held 2:30 p.m. Sunday, July 11, 2010 at the Royer Funeral Home- Oak Grove, MO. Burial in the Oak Grove Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:30 p.m. preceding the service at the funeral home.
Peggy was born February 14, 1927 in Oak Grove, Mi to Victor B. and Dorothy Lee (Blewett) Church. She worked in Quality Control for Hallmark Cards several years before retiring in 1989. Peggy was a selfless person always putting the needs and cares of other before her own and loved to collect butterflies.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Victor and Dorothy Church; one brother: Bill Church and one sister-in-law: Evelyn Church.
Her survivors include her son: Bill Rider and wife Carolyn of the home; one grandson: William Scott Rider of Liberty, MO; one granddaughter: Terri Danielle Rider of Kansas City, KS; and 7 great grandchildren.
