Peggy Sue France, 90, of Bates City, Missouri, passed away Saturday, May 13, 2023. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 19, 2023, at the Oak Grove Christian Church; burial in Sni Mills Cemetery, Oak Grove. The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until service time at the church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Oak Grove Christian Church or Show-Me Christian Youth Home.
Peggy was born December 24, 1932, in Grain Valley, Missouri, the daughter of Arnold and Pauline (Marble) Stephenson. Peggy married Ray A. France on July 2, 1950. She worked at home taking care of her husband and daughters. Peggy was a member of the Oak Grove Christian Church, and enjoyed gardening, cooking, and spending time with her family.
Peggy was preceded in death by her husband Ray, her parents Arnold and Pauline Stephenson and her sisters Lucille Amos, Shirley Dawson, and Doris Reickard.
Her survivors include 3 daughters: Pauletta France-Isetts of Oak Grove, Darlene Burns of Bates City, and Marlene Johnson (Steve) of Odessa, MO; 11 grandchildren: Michelle Deatherage (Larry) of Odessa, Jeremy Burns (Kristy) of Oak Grove, Peggy Hobson of Odessa, Tricia Bixler (Ryan) of Oak Grove, Destiny Reighard (Clint) of Odessa, Ray Isetts (Kara) of Oak Grove, Nicole Morgan (Anthony) of Oak Grove, Rick Thomas of Bear Lake, MI, Laura Sidwell of Independence, Lee Isetts III of Blue Springs, and Amy Isetts of Independence; 32 great-grandchildren: Nickolas Webb, Samantha Harris (Daniel), Jax Deatherage, Reagan Deatherage, Shelby Briggs, John Burns, Aerian Burns, Steven Hobson, Mikaylee Hobson, Liberty Hobson, Dyllan Johnson, Damion Bixler, Justyce Bixler, Remington Bixler, Madyson White, David White, Derek White, Hunter Reighard, Bob Thomas, Tony Thomas, Brad Isetts, Cheyanne Isetts, Macinzie Keinath, Lillie Keinath, Katherine Isetts, Rachel Isetts, Madison Isetts, William Ware, Leah Robinette, Emily Sobba, Ray Isetts Jr., and Gunner Isetts; 9 great great-grandchildren: Carson George, Kaylee Rose Thomas, Willow Ware, Benjamin Bean, Ainsley Briggs, Malakai Bixler, Michael Harris, James Harris, and Alayah Johnson.
