R. Janell Rogers

Janell Rogers, beloved mother, grandmother, wife, daughter, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on July 23rd. She leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and strength that will be cherished forever.

Janell was born on August 25th in Warrensburg, MO, to James and Dollie Fockler. She grew up in Warrensburg, where she developed a deep passion for music. Janell began her career at Sprint in 1997, dedicating 20 years as a project manager. Janell’s greatest joy in life was her family. Later in life, Janell found happiness with Robert Rogers, whom she married on September 9th, 2014. She embraced her role as a loving mother to Thomas and Ryan Stricklan (spouse: Mariel Stricklan), and stepmother to Ashton and Dalton Rogers (spouse: Bailey Rogers), treating them with boundless affection and care. Janell adored her three grandchildren: Parker Stricklan, and Brielle and Jameson Rogers, all of whom held a special place in her heart. Her warm smile and compassionate heart touched everyone who knew her. Janell had a knack for singing and enjoyed watching her sons play sports and spending time at her church. She was known for her exceptional organizational skills. Some of her favorite things were music (specifically singing), attending church, sunflowers, dolphins, and the colors pink and yellow.

Janell is survived by her parents, two brothers Steve Fockler (spouse: Brenda Fockler) and Fred Fockler (spouse: Patty Fockler), husband, children, stepchildren, and grandchildren.

Janell’s memory will be forever cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her legacy of love and kindness will continue to inspire and guide us.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests any donations be made to assist with the medical expenses incurred during Janell’s illness. Your generous support will greatly help ease the financial burden and is deeply appreciated during this challenging time. Contributions may be sent directly to her husband, Robert Rogers.

A celebration of Janell’s life will be held at First Baptist Church of Grain Valley, MO, on August 10th at 10:00 AM. We invite all who knew and loved Janell to join us in celebrating her life and legacy.
