Randall “Randy” Kenneth Moots, 76, of Blue Springs, Missouri passed away on Monday, April 24, 2023. Visitation will be 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 6, 2023. At Royer Funeral Home, Grain Valley, Missouri. Funeral service to follow at 11:00 a.m. Contributions can be made in memory of Randy Moots to a charity of your choice.
Randy was born May 17, 1946 in Kansas City, Missouri, the son of Henry Kenneth and Eugenia D. (Lundy) Moots. He enjoyed playing the Blues on his harmonica. Randy used his woodworking talent doing furniture repair and even flute making. He was quite the craftsman. Randy graduated from Penn Valley in 1995 with a degree in Electrical Engineering. Randy retired after 40 years from Filtronetics Inc.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
Randy is survived by his wife Marilyn Moots, of the home; step-daughter, Rachel Lyn Conklin and husband Jeff of Independence, MO; 3 step-grandchildren: Julie M. Conklin, Jack Conklin and Jeremy Conklin; brother, Howard Carter; brother-in-law, Roger Meyer, and brother-in-law, Ray Meyer.
