Raymond C. Ebert


Raymond Charles Ebert, 94, of Grain Valley, Missouri passed away on Wednesday, September 27, 2023. Visitation will be 2:00 – 3:30 p.m. Thursday, October 5, 2023. Funeral service to follow at 3:30 p.m. at Royer Funeral Home, Grain Valley, Missouri. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St Jude Childrens Research Hospital. Stjude.org

Raymond was born January 4, 1929 in Kansas City, Missouri to Charles Ebert and Alma (Albauer) Ebert. Raymond went to East High School. He worked for Reeves-Wiedeman as a plumbing salesman for 50 years. In his younger years he played baseball. Raymond was a Golden Glove Boxer “Canvas Kid” as well. He worked with his parents at their Dry-Cleaning shop. Raymond and Betty would often get away with family to their cabin at the Lake of the Ozarks. He always enjoyed boating, traveling, golfing and hanging out with friends.

He is preceded by his parents; wife, Betty Ebert (Stevens), who passed away in 2006; 3 brothers: Don, Bob, and Jerry Ebert; and sister, Shirley Mandina.

Raymond is survived by 5 children: Karen Sutton (Gary) of Blue Springs, MO, James Ebert (Linda) of Lone Jack, MO, Chuck Ebert (Kim) of Kansas City, MO, Daniel Ebert (Kim) of Lake of the Ozarks, MO, David Ebert (Sherri) of Oak Grove, MO; 14 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and extended family.
