Richard Bradford Kenyon Jr., 78, of Independence, Missouri, passed away on Friday, December 26, 2025, at Independence Manor in Independence. A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, January 2, 2026, at St. Mark Catholic Church, 3736 S. Lee’s Summit Road, Independence, MO 64055, with visitation from 10:00-11:00 a.m., followed by a memorial mass at 11:00 a.m. Inurnment in Montrose, SD, at a later date.
Richard was born October 23, 1947, in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, the son of Richard Bradford Sr. and Adele Bertha (Britton) Kenyon. He was a Staff Sargeant in the U.S. Army, retiring from the Missouri National Army Guard in 2001. He was also an umpire and referee for the Blue Springs Athletic Association prior to retiring.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Jill Kenyon; and two brothers, Bill Kenyon and Bob Kenyon.
His survivors include his wife, Susan Kenyon of the home; son, Jamie Kenyon (Sarah) of Great Falls, MT; daughter, Nicole Bunch of Oak Grove, MO; four grandchildren: Dakota Bunch, Montana Harman (Tanner), Will Kenyon, and Quinn Kenyon; one great-granddaughter, Blakely Harman; and sister, Sue Rossow (David Baumgard) of Sioux Falls, SD.
