Rixie D. Crawford


Rixie Dean Crawford, 69, of Alma, Arkansas passed away in his home on Thursday, October 17, 2024. He was a commercial plumber for 42 years with Local 8, was a Mason member of Christian Lodge #392 and attended First Baptist Church of Alma. Rixie was born September 12, 1955 in Kansas City, Missouri to the late Kenneth Eugene and Ella Lee (Johnson) Crawford. He was also preceded in death by a brother, David Crawford and best friend, Danny Vaughn.

During his life, he enjoyed golf, wood carving and sending love poems to his wife. Rixie also loved the outdoors and wild driving. In his younger years, he enjoyed snow and water skiing and spending time at Pomme de Terre Lake with his friends.

Memorial service will be 3:00 PM Monday, October 28, 2024 at Royer Funeral Home Chapel in Grain Valley, Missouri with burial of cremains at Wright’s Creek Cemetery in Lowry City, Missouri. The family will visit with friends from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM prior to the service at the funeral home. Cremation is under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Alma.

Survivors include his wife, Marilyn Crawford of Alma, Arkansas; step daughter, Dr. Laura Hollenbach and husband Dr. Seth Hollenbach of Hot Springs, Arkansas; step son, John Ross White and wife Maegan of Benton, Arkansas; step grandchildren, Madelynn, Katelyn, Meredith, Idaleigh and Eliza; brother, Kenneth Crawford, Jr. and wife Cathy; sister-in-law, Jeannie Crawford; nieces and nephews, Connie, Carrie, Cammie, Candie, Crissie, Kip and Laurie; aunt, Janice Barrie and husband Bill; uncle George Miller and endeared relative, Maxine Leath.
