Robert Eugene Danbom, 75, of Belton, MO passed away Friday, July 27, 2018. A funeral will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, August 3rd at Kingsville Baptist church, 203 W. Adriatic St., Kingsville, MO 64061. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until service time at the church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The American Heart Association or National Stroke Association.
Bob was born on March 25, 1943 in Red Oak, IA the son of Russell Oscar and Mildred Mary Blanche (Spangenberg) Danbom. He was a quiet man who never met a stranger and always had a kind word to share. Everyone loved him, he had a world of patience. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He always went to watch his grandkids play soccer, baseball and attended their school functions, along with family gatherings for birthdays, weddings, and anniversaries.
He worked as a manager with SS Kresge stores, (Kmart) from 1963 till 1985, after retiring from Kmart. In 1988 he moved back to MO and went to work as a manager for Carlyle Tire, retiring in 2011. Loved fishing with his son and grandkids. He also enjoyed bowling, playing pool with friends and playing cards. Bob was a huge fan of the KC Royals, Chiefs, and NASCAR. In his free time he was a Woodworker, making benches, cedar chests and custom items like the helmet box for his grandson’s welding helmet.
Bob is survived by: son, Jeffrey Danbom (Melissa), daughter, Shari Frasier (Joe). grandchildren; Michael Danbom, Stephen Danbom, Brian Danbom, Branden Frasier, Zachary Frasier, Jacob Frasier, Joshua Fuchs, and Dakota Allen. Great grandchildren; Erek Danbom, and Oakley Fuchs and Brother, Carroll Danbom.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Larry Danbom.
