Robert Jake Hightower, 63, of Independence, Missouri passed away on Sunday, March 20, 2022. His funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 24, 2022 at Royer Funeral Home, Grain Valley, MO. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be made to the family.

Jake was born January 21, 1959 in Kansas City, Kansas. The son of Robert Lee Hightower and Barbara Jean Lancaster. He had many hobbies that kept him busy. Spending time working on his drag boat, Jaguar, sprint cars and of course honeydo requests. He was proud of his truck.  Jake always like doing projects around his home. He liked drinking his Bush Light, especially while enjoying Raiders football and watching NASCAR. He loved when he and Joy would travel to the beach. Most of all, Jake treasured time spent with his family and was extremely proud of his kids.     

He is preceded by his parents; sister, Karon and Billy Cole and brother, Rainbow Hightower.

Jake is survived by his wife, Joy Hightower, of the home, Independence, MO; son, Jake (Katy) Hightower of Pleasant Hill, MO; daughter: Kasey (Josh) McGill of Moscow Mills, MO; brother, Mike (Sue) Morton of Quitman, AR; sister, Bobbi (Todd) Hedger of Greenwood, MO; two nephews: Eric (Nicole) Hightower of Pleasant Hill, MO. and Adam (Daryle) Hightower of Quincy, IL; uncle, Gary (Cathy) Hightower of Shawnee Mission, KS.
