Robert (Bob) Lee Moore was born December 6, 1940, in Independence, Mo.  He married his sweetheart, June Bradley on September 18, 1961.  They celebrated 61 years of marriage before her passing in 2022.  June was Bob’s world, and when she was ill for the last few years of her life, he was her rock and caretaker, never leaving her side.  Theirs was a true love story. They were blessed to have many travels around the country in their RV.

Robert worked at Ford Motor Company in Claycomo, Missouri for over 47 years.  He never met a stranger and loved to talk to anyone.  He loved to tell stories and his memory was sharp as ever.  Robert liked to say that he was “blessed with many opinions”.  One of Robert’s favorite pastimes was watching movies; at one time he had a collection of over 900 DVD’s. He loved watching the old westerns and American Pickers. He also enjoyed watching the KC Chiefs play and was excited that they made it into the playoffs.

Robert loved all animals and birds.  Well, there is that groundhog hibernating under his porch right now…he might not have been so fond of him.  Over the years Robert and June were blessed with many animals, including cats and dogs. They loved the old-time country and gospel music with artists like Patsy Cline, Marty Robbins, and Faron Young.

He was preceded in death by his wife, June Dora Moore, his mother, Velma Ruth Moore, his father, Mack Johnson Moore, and his sister Barbara Ruth Rambeck.  Robert is survived by his daughter, Janice Weightman (Paul) of Loves Park, IL, daughter Dorothy Freeman of Chandler, AZ, granddaughters Janessa Weightman of Madison, WI, Matisse Connors (Pierce) of Holiday Hills, IL, Lucille Freeman of Chandler, AZ, Lillian Freeman of Chandler, AZ and great-grandchildren June and Callum Connors.

Robert is also survived by his siblings:  Eleanor Marie Miller of Sugar Creek, MO, William Mack Moore (Genelle) of Grain Valley, MO and Ronald Dean Moore (Linda) of Rayville, MO as well as many nieces and nephews.
