Robert “Rusty” Norton, 62, of Independence, MO passed away September 6, 2022 at his home surrounded by his family.

A Celebration of Life will be held 4:00 p.m. Saturday October 1, 2022 at VFW Post 1000 24 highway; Independence, MO.

Rusty was born January 28, 1960 in Kansas City, MO to Gene & Delsa Norton. He married Debbie Stockstill-Norton on April 7, 1990. Rusty worked with heavy equipment. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

Rusty was preceded in death by his father and grandparents.

Rusty is survived by his wife: Debbie of the home; 2 girls: Melonie Norton, Jessica Norton (Cortez) all of the home; 3 grandchildren: Julius, Ra-Shad, Serinity; mother: Delsa Norton of Independence, MO; 1 sister: Cindi Hood (Jerry) of Lee’s Summit, MO;

1 brother: Terry Norton (Denise) of Independence, MO; 1 nephew: Remy Hood of Lee’s Summit, MO.
