Scott A. Ackerman, 55, of Oak Grove, Missouri passed away on Monday, August 12, 2024, he was married one day shy of 21 years to his loving wife, Christy. A visitation will be held from 5 to 7:00 p.m. Monday, August 19, 2024, at Royer Funeral Home, Grain Valley, Missouri. At 6:30 p.m. there will be a time of sharing. On Tuesday, August 20, at 3:00 p.m. the family would like you to meet them at Royer Funeral Home in Grain Valley for Scott’s final ride to Oak Grove Cemetery. The family requests no flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American Heart Association, 6800 W 93rd St, Overland Park, KS 66212.
Scott was born March 28, 1969, in Independence, Missouri, son of Jerald Dean Ackerman Sr. and Patty Jo (Simmons) Ackerman. Scott’s sons were his life. Scott couldn’t go anywhere without seeing someone he knew, and he had a story for everything. He enjoyed going to the lake with his buddies and watching Seth drag race. Scott cherished his time working in the garage and tinkering around with his son, Jace. When he was at home you could find the Frenchie’s Jax and Julz sitting on his lap. Scott was a member of the IBEW 124 for 25+ years.
He is preceded in death by his mother Patty Jo Ackerman; brother, Jay Ackerman; grandmother, Beulah Simmons; brother-in-law, Mike Erwin.
Scott is survived by his wife, Christy; father, Jerald Ackerman Sr; sons: Seth (28) and Jace (18) Ackerman; sister, Angie Erwin; and numerous friends and extended family.
