Shirley Ann Schwartz, 79, of Independence, Missouri passed away on Thursday, May 13, 2021. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, May 17th at Royer Funeral Home, Grain Valley MO. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. Burial to follow in Valley Memorial Gardens, Grain Valley.
Shirley was born June 14, 1941 in Lexington, Missouri to Roscoe and Opal (Bush) Spease. She was a member of the Full Gospel Assembly of God. Shirley loved her church, singing and playing piano. She also enjoyed gardening. Shirley grew up in Lexington, Missouri. She was very patriotic and was known as the flag lady, having been born on Flag Day.
She was preceded in death by her parents and 2 brothers.
Shirley is survived by 4 children: Greg Schwartz (Patti) of Blue Springs, MO, Michelle Brown (Phil) of Raymore, MO, Marcia Ankrom (Greg) of Bolivar, MO, and Rodney Schwartz (Shellie) of Blue Springs, MO; 4 siblings; 8 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren.
