Shirley June Johnston went to meet her Lord and Savior on November 30, 2023, in her home with family present.  Celebration of Life will be held Friday December 8th at First Baptist Church of Oak Grove in Fellowship Hall starting at 1pm. Please write down something about Shirley that you remember or a funny/cherished moment to be shared.

Shirley was born September 20, 1936, in Brownington, MO, to Norvin Callahan and Margaret Middaugh. She was the oldest of 4 siblings. Shirley worked hard all her life and retired from ATT in Lee’s Summit MO. Shirley always said that her greatest gifts were her family, she was the glue that held the family together. Shirley had many friends from Church and the Davis Senior Center. After Retirement she worked at the Senior Center in the kitchen to prepare food for all that came to the center and for those that were unable to come meals were delivered to their home. Shirley loved to attend church every Sunday at First Baptist Church in Oak Grove, where she also helped with taking money for the Wednesday evening meals after Bible Study.

Survivors include 2 sons, Kenneth Dunn of Warsaw MO, Kevin Dunn of Oak Grove MO, and one daughter, Rebecca Butler of Blue Springs. Shirley also had 6 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
