We are saddened to announce the unexpected passing of Stephen “Steve” Michael Andrews at the age of 54. He passed away on July 22, 2022 in Independence, MO.
Steve was born to David and Sharon (Starwalt) Andrews on January 10, 1968, in Belleville, IL. Steve attended Central Heights where he excelled in sports especially football, basketball, baseball, and track. He graduated in 1986. Steve was a welder and truck driver. He was a hardworking man who would help anyone. Bubba as he was lovingly called, was a huge fan of the Kansas City Chiefs, KU Jayhawks basketball and really good BBQ. He had a love for motorcycles, as he raced dirt bikes in his younger age. #117
He is preceded in his death by Donald Starwalt, (Uncle).
Steve is survived by his wife, Deborah Andrews (Martin); son, Dustin Smith; parents, David and Sharon Andrews; sisters, Michelle Andrews and Jamie Rutherford (Steve); step children, Travis Bailey and Lee Bailey; nephews, Marqus Andrews and Sean Rutherford; niece Shaylee Rutherford and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and grandchildren.
The family will have a private memorial at a later date.
