Timothy Howard Greene, 68, of Oak Grove, Missouri passed away Saturday, February 6, 2021. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 18th at Royer Funeral Home, Grain Valley, MO. The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home. Burial in Ebenezer Cemetery, Levasy, Missouri.
Tim was born February 24, 1952 in Independence, Missouri to Frank and Dorothy (McIntosh) Greene. He graduated to heaven just weeks before he would have celebrated his 69th birthday. Tim lived in Oak Grove, Missouri with his wife Linda, of 48 years. He had been battling cancer for 2 and a half years and he passed peacefully at his home. Tim graduated from Grain Valley High School in 1970. He then proceeded on to the Coast Guard Academy. Tim worked at Armco Steel and GST as a Millwright. After their closing, he worked for KC Power and Light until he retired. He was also a reserve police officer in Grain Valley and later with Jackson County for some 20 years. Tim attended Independence Christian Center and enjoyed the Men’s Fellowship. He also served and helped with security for the church. Tim loved going to all of his grandchildren’s sporting events and cheering them on and, there have been many. He loved working with his hands and was great at helping and fixing things for his family.
He is survived by his wife Linda Greene, of the home; daughter, Kim Hughes (Scott); granddaughter, Corrine Hughes; grandsons: Colton, Keaton and Brody Hughes; son, Matt Greene (Kelly); granddaughters: Summer and Rianna Greene and grandson, Justin Greene; mother, Dorothy Greene; sisters: Sarah Hamer and Cathy Basinger; brother, Mike Greene; sister-in-law, Loretta Greene; Julie (Richard) Curry; Diane (Kenny) Denton; Sharon Eddie; and many nieces and nephews.
