Trenton James Starr, 20, of Grain Valley passed away on January 1, 2022. He was born August 2, 2001 in Overland Park, Kansas to Doug and Amber (Blevins) Starr. Trent, as he was fondly called by his family and friends, graduated from Grain Valley High School in 2020 where he was a member of the Eagles Wrestling Team and a 2-time state medalist.

Trent was a passionate outdoorsman, who loved to hunt and fish. In addition to his cars and trucks he had a life-long passion for the wrestling mat. Even after his career was over, if he wasn’t yelling loudly from the stands, he was mat side coaching and giving advice to younger wrestlers. Above all, he loved his family most, from his great-grandparents to his youngest cousins. Trent was there for all with open arms and a contagious smile. He had an attitude and a smile that could light up a room and a joke to always lighten the mood.

Trent was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Ronald Starr. He is survived by: Parents, Doug and Amber, Kyle Ramsey; Siblings, Colin and Allyson; Maternal great-grandparents Charles and Shelby Brant and Doris Blevins. Paternal grandmother Joy Starr, and maternal grandparents Kerry and Marcia Blevins. Grandparents David and Judy Ramsey. He is also survived by aunts and uncles: Jennifer and Christopher Ray, Emily and Michael Gaydos; And cousins: Austin, Cody and Dylan Ray; Elijah Avery; Ethan and Emersyn Gaydos: As well as countless friends and family.

Friends and family are invited to attend a Celebration of Life service that will occur at Heartland Church in Knob Noster on the 7^th of January, 4:00pm, casual attire preferred. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Amber Starr, Blue Ridge Bank Account #500129223 to provide mats for the Grain Valley High School Wrestling Team.
