Vickie Darlene (Atwood) Smith, 65, of Independence, MO departed this life Friday, October 30, 2020 at North Kansas City Hospital, North Kansas City, MO.
Visitation will be 1-2 p.m. Friday November 20, 2020 at Royer’s New Salem Funeral Home; Independence, MO. Funeral to follow at 2 p.m. Burial at New Salem Cemetery.
Vickie Darlene Smith (Atwood) Independence, Mo was born February 1, 1955 at Wellington, Ks the daughter of Arthur Atwood and Patsy (Pottier) Egersett.
On August 4,1972 Vickie was united in marriage to Ronnie Smith of Harrisonville, MO.
She was self-employed with her home daycare for 41 years. Vickie was a graduate of Harrisonville high school. She enjoyed doing the tree lot with the scouts, children, her grandkids and spending time with family and friends. Vickie had a heart of gold and would do anything for anyone.
Vickie was preceded in death by her brother: James Atwood; stepsister: Sherrie McGuire; and niece: Misty Atwood.
Vickie is survived by her husband of 48yrs, Ronnie Smith of the home; 2 children: son Christopher Smith & wife Jamie of Independence, MO, daughter Tina Wulff of Independence, MO; 5 grandchildren; Kalina Kovachevich, Elaina Smith, Jennifer Smith, Alexander Wulff, and Savannah Wulff; her mother: Patsy Egersett of Independence, MO; her father: Arthur Atwood & wife Ruby of Forsyth, MO; 2 brothers: Terry Atwood of Harrisonville, MO and Richard Atwood of Columbia, TN;
