Wanda Pearl Hays, 88, passed away on Sunday, December 28, 2025, at her home in Independence, MO.  A Celebration of Life will be held in the spring.

Wanda was born February 20, 1937, in Wakenda, Missouri, the daughter of Adrain and Martha F. (Ford) Lynn.  She was a homemaker who loved taking care of and spending time with her family.  Wanda enjoyed playing baseball, softball, and basketball.  She also enjoyed volunteering at her church, Glenwood Park Methodist Church in Independence, MO.

Wanda was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ivan Hays; son, Ricky Hays; granddaughter, Leslie Evinger; grandson, Joe Dexter; and sister, Jessie Floyd.

Her survivors include two daughters, Debra Evinger (Mark) of Oak Grove, MO, and Susan Dexter (Mark) of TN; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
