Wanda R. Sudduth


Wanda Rae Sudduth, born Wanda Rae Mawhiney on July 28, 1954, in Kansas City, Missouri, passed away on February 22, 2024, in Blue Springs, Missouri, at 69. She is survived by her daughters Tracy Byrom, Tammy Sudduth, and Tisha Ross of Oak Grove, MO, and son Jerimy Sudduth and wife Debbie.  Wanda was a cherished grandmother to 19 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Wanda, a graduate of Oak Grove High School, class of 1972, dedicated 28 years of her life working at OOIDA in the accounting department. Her commitment and passion for her career endeared her to colleagues and friends alike.

Outside of work, Wanda was known for her loving nature and great sense of humor. She found joy in spending time with her family, baking delicious treats, sewing, and tending to her garden. All who knew her will deeply miss her vibrant personality and warm presence.

Wanda was preceded in death by her beloved husband Ronald Sudduth, parents Raymond and Betty Mawhiney, sister Rebecca McGinnis, Dinah Grote, Peggy Heath, and son-in-law Richard Ross.

A visitation and services to celebrate Wanda’s life will be held on Friday, March 1, 2024 at Royer Funeral Home in Oak Grove, MO. Visitation will be held at 4:00pm, followed by the service at 5:00pm
