William Dale Herbert, 87, passed away March 9, 2022, at his home at the Parkway in Blue Springs. He graduated from Breckenridge High School in 1952 and joined the Air Force where he was stationed in Africa. He was employed as a warehouse worker for Ben Franklin, and later for Grainger, where he retired. He enjoyed bowling and golf and was an avid fan of all sports.
Survivors include a sister, Ruth Ford of Bates City; a sister-in-law, Fran Herbert of Blue Springs; a niece, Lynn Dothage (Wayne) of Bates City, and family; and a nephew, Mark Ford (Patty) of Grain Valley, and family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edmund Henry and Vivian Herbert, and by a brother, Ralph Herbert.
Cremation. Graveside services will be held at the Rosehill Cemetery, Breckenridge at a later date.
