William Jewett Jr.


William “Bill” Jewett Jr. of Pleasant Hill, Missouri went home to be with the Lord on August 9, 2024. He was born September 12, 1945, in Kansas City, Missouri. He was greeted in heaven by his mother, Dorothy (Richardson) Jewett and his father William Jewett Sr., and sisters Carol Matthews, Sue Sullivan and Donna Byrd.

Bill was a loving husband and father and always made friends wherever he went. He had a great sense of humor right up until the end, and loved to make people laugh. He was always involved with activities that his daughters and granddaughters were interested in.

Bill was an envelope machine adjuster for all of his career until his retirement. He was great at his job but his family always came first. He loved watching western movies, especially ones with John Wayne. He loved horses and helping his daughter, Lori, with the ones she owned. He was also a huge animal lover, and was great with all of the cats and dogs that he owned throughout the years.

Bill is survived by his wife of 50 years, Edith Jewett; their daughters: Jule Lesmeister and Lori Jewett; stepson: J Wilson; sister: Linda McChan; granddaughters: Samantha Krugman, Ashley Schwermer and Destiny Lesmeister; 4 great granddaughters and 1 great grandson; as well as several nieces and nephews.
