William Lee Mowery, 79, of Buckner, Missouri passed away on Saturday, August 29, 2020 from complications of Pancreatic Cancer. Memorial services will be held at 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. Friday, September 11th at Royer Funeral Home, Grain Valley. Burial September 12th next to his wife, in New Hope Cemetery, Louisburg, Missouri.
Bill was born December 21, 1940 in Kansas City, Missouri, the son of Ralph and Anna (Stulgas) Mowery. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy as a MM3 E-4 on the U.S.S. Pine Island 1958-1962, San Diego, CA. and as a Reservist in Great Lakes, IL. 1962-1964. He retired from the Lake City Army Ammunition Plant (Olin Winchester) as a Power House Engineer.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Ann Spence-Mowery and son, Christopher Scott Mowery.
Bill is survived by his beloved daughters, Vicki L. Bredeman and son-in-law, Dan; Teri D. Henke and son-in-law, Hugh; grandchildren, Mindi (Andrew), Jennifer (Corey), Adam, Daniel (Irena), and Sylvia (Connor); and 6 great-grandchildren.
