Winifred Patricia Ackley, 82, of Bates City, Missouri, passed away on Tuesday, January 31, 2023, in her home. Funeral services will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, February 7th at Royer Funeral Home in Oak Grove, MO. The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home. A burial of her ashes will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Crossroads Hospice.
Winifred was born on September 23, 1940, in Kansas City, Kansas, the daughter of Loyd Calvin and Lucy Lavada (Raw) Buehler. She was a housewife and enjoyed gardening, traveling, and spending time with her family. Winifred was President of the Garden Club and an artist for Hallmark Cards. She was a wonderful mother who loved her family with all her heart.
Winifred was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Paul Ackley in 2013; and three brothers, Bob, Russell, and Loyd Buehler.
Her survivors include daughter, Lisa Walters (Darrell) of Bates City, MO; son, Paul Ackley (Cathy) of Oak Grove, MO; seven grandchildren: Brett, Ashlee, Jeffrey, Cody, Destiny, Nathan, and Sharlie; five great-grandchildren: Wyatt, Waylon, Jackson, Ezra, and Witt; brother, David Buehler of Desoto, KS; two sisters: Barbara Stephens of Paola, KS, and Beverly Renne of Kansas City, KS; and numerous nieces and nephews.
