Aileen B. Hanson, 88, of Independence, Missouri, passed away Friday, July 10, 2015. A memorial visitation will be held from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 14th at New Hope Congregation, Community of Christ, Independence, MO. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Heartland Hospice, 1001 E. 101st Terrace, Suite 180, Kansas City, MO 64131.
Aileen was born June 8, 1927, in Port Huron, Michigan, the daughter of Edward and May (Burroughs) Dumas. She was a member of the New Hope Congregation. Aileen enjoyed making crafts to make money for the church. She also liked to go fishing.
Aileen was preceded in death by 3 brothers and 1 sister.
Her survivors include her husband, James Hanson; 2 children: Tim Crede and Cathy Gryzbowski; 3 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; 2 stepchildren: Chris Hanson and Carol Ray; 4 step-grandchildren; and 2 sisters, Gerry VanWarmer and Mary Lou Clemens.
