Aileen McComas, 85, of Blue Springs, Missouri, passed away on Saturday, July 31, 2021. There will be no services. Contributions may be made to the Blue Springs Historical Society.
Aileen was born in Kansas City, Missouri, the daughter of Fred and Mildred (McGrath) Kaiser. She was a Blue Springs resident since 1962. Aileen graduated from Northeast High School in 1954 and received an Associate Degree in Applied Science in 1985. She worked as a bookkeeper, retiring in 1990. Aileen was one of the founders of Blue Springs girls softball in 1970, where she coached and umpired. She was a charter member of the Blue Springs Historical Society. Aileen was a avid runner and athlete and won numerous awards in the Senior Olympics. She also competed in many KC area runs and walking clubs. Aileen enjoyed photography, crafts, and traveling. She had visited 48 state capitals.
Aileen was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters; her husband, Buddy; and son, David McComas.
Her survivors include her daughter, Lynn Hamilton and husband Cliff, and grandson Daniel Hamilton.
