Albert L. Mountain


On Thursday February 25, 2021 Albert (Al) Lewis Mountain of Warrensburg, Missouri   passed away at age 78. Just like he dealt with all experiences in life, Albert managed his illness with strength and grace, and wanted to spend as much time with his loved ones as possible. On his final day, he was surrounded by his children, who he adored more than anything else in the world. Albert was born on April 8, 1942 in Kansas City to Herbert Mountain and Doris (Lee) Mountain. Albert enlisted in the United States Navy in July 1960 to 1964 where after basic training he boarded the USS Renville and served during The Cuban Missile Crisis. In October of 1963 he married his second wife Patsy J Wright of Cross Timbers Missouri, they raised a son Allen Lewis and a daughter Debra Jolene. Albert owned and operated his own Painting business in Lee’s Summit, Mo. for over 30 years and took great pride in his work. Albert had a passion for golf, hunting and trapshooting where he won numerous trophies. Albert was known for his quick wit and his love for family, God and country. Albert was preceded in death by his Father Herbert Mountain; and his Mother Doris (Lee) Mountain; and his grandson Eron C. Norris. He is survived by his three children: Rockford Cannady of Lee’s Summit Mo, Allen Mountain of Lake Lotawana Mo and Debra (Mountain) Norris of Lexington Mo; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; and sisters Bonnie (Mountain) Pickard, Linda (Mountain) Roy and Vickie (Mountain) Casey; and a brother Dan Mountain. 

Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 pm on March 14, 2021 at
