Alec Michael Hoffman, 24, of Sibley, Missouri, passed away Monday, October 29, 2018. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 3rd at Royer’s New Salem Funeral Home, Independence, MO. The family will greet friends from 11:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made the family to help with expenses.
Alec was born September 4, 1994, in Independence, Missouri, the son of Bill and Shellie (Lowry) Hoffman. He graduated from Fort Osage High School in 2013, where he was a wrestler, which is a sport he loved. Alec had a deep passion for computers and gaming. His face would light up whenever he talked about it. He loved to talk tech with his younger cousin, which he called his computer buddy. Alec loved his family and friends fiercely. He was a kind, loyal, and gentle soul, but he also had an ornery side. When you saw “that grin” on his face, you knew something was coming. Alec was handsome and charismatic and could always make you laugh. He lit up a room whenever he walked in.
Alec was preceded in death by his mother, and grandparents, Michael and Linda Sutton.
His survivors include his father, Bill Hoffman of Sibley, MO; sister, Shelbie Hoffman of Independence; niece, Maddie Buxton of Independence; grandmother, Barbara Hoffman of Sibley; aunts and uncles: Stacie Burks (Farris) of Independence, Stephanie Shannon (Shaun) of Blue Springs, MO, Wendie Peters (Ed) of Sibley, Christie Hall (Anthony) of Rogers, AR, CJ Jones (Lynn) of Rogers, AR, and Debbie Garcia (Michael) of Houston, TX, and many cousins.
