Aletha M. Bolton


Aletha Marie Bolton of Independence, Missouri passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 7, 2021 at Independence Manor surrounded by her family.

She is survived by her husband Ken Bolton and her two children Summer Blair and Sean Bolton. As well as her son in law Travis Blair, daughter in law Jenny Bolton and grandchildren Mia, Jack and Kendall Blair and Bexley Bolton. 

She was born December 18th, 1951 in Washington D.C. to Eugene Chickini and Ida Zambernardi. She grew up in Rantoul, Illinois and soon moved to Independence, Missouri. She was a 1969 graduate of Rantoul High School. She soon attended nursing school and graduated from Parkland College. She worked as a nurse and soon met the love of her life Ken Bolton. She worked at Paxton Hospital as an LPN caring for others which was what she loved most. Aletha loved her family and always surrounded herself with positive people and those that made her happy. She took care of all the kids in the neighborhood and shared the love for animals with her husband and children. She fostered hundreds of animals over her adult years and always found joy in caring for others around her. She was a strong woman of faith and raised Catholic. She continued to practice this religion for the duration of her life. She always had a smile on her face and was like a bright light when she walked into a room. She never knew a stranger. She touched so many lives over the years. She is forever and always in our hearts. 

Her wish was for her family to celebrate her life and to not hold a funeral service. Flowers, donations and condolences may be offered at 2834 Sweet Briar Dr. Independence Mo. 64057.
