Ann Elizabeth Leach, 75, of Blue Springs, Missouri, passed away Monday, May 13, 2019. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, May 16th at First Baptist Church of Oak Grove, Oak Grove, MO; burial in Blue Springs Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 15th at Royer Funeral Home, Oak Grove.
Ann was born June 7, 1943, in Norwich, Norfolk, England, the daughter of Nicholas and Ruby I. (Betts) Selvey. She was a dispatcher for the Blue Springs Police Department for 24 years, where she was considered the Mother Hen of the department. She was Baptist. Ann collected Lenox figurines and angel figurines. She loved watching TV, especially soap operas and Game of Thrones. She also enjoyed dining with her friends at Parkway.
Ann was preceded in death by her husband of 32 years, Laney Leach. Her survivors include five children: Lisa Hurley of Blue Springs, MO, Cody Kelly (Missy) of Mountain View, MO, Derald Kelly of Birch Tree, MO, Beth Wieland of Thorton, CO, and Sonya Ragsdale (William) of Austin, TX; a sister, Marilynne Hackley of Blue Springs; a brother-in-law: Larry Leach (Diane) of Independence, MO; a sister-in-law: Linda Boyd (John) of Oak Grove; 14 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and many nieces & nephews.
