Belita Lee Sperry, 74, of Blue Springs, Missouri, passed away Friday, December 28, 2018 at Centerpoint Medical Center, Independence, MO. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 4, 2019 at Royer Funeral Home, Oak Grove, MO; burial in Oak Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:30 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Wayside Waifs.
Belita was born December 15, 1944, in Oak Grove, Missouri, the daughter of Glen Leroy and Sarah Merle (Nield) Buzzard. She was ill with M.S. for many years. She liked being outside, doing needlework, and watching the Royals, Chiefs, and Nascar.
Belita was preceded in death by her son, Donnie Sperry in 2018, and her companion, Sherman Dunn in 2017.
Her survivors include three sisters: Barbara Lefholz of Oak Grove, Betty Hayes of Oak Grove, and Beverly Watt of Parkville, MO; three stepchildren: Aaron Dunn, Elliott Dunn, and Deborah Jones; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
