Betty JoAnn Sambo, 78, of Grain Valley, MO, passed away Thursday, July 15, 2010 at the Golden Living Center in Independence. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, July 19th at Valley Memorial Gardens, Grain Valley, MO.
Betty was born on May 25, 1932 in Ethan, SD, the daughter of Otto & Nancy Wittenhagen. She had been employed as a bookkeeper for Westlake Hardware when retiring in 1994. She was preceded in death by her parents and nine brothers & sisters. Betty was a devoted family member and mother.
Her survivors include a son & daughter-in-law: Bryan & Connie Sambo of Colorado; three sisters: Ruth, Bernie, & Devona; several nieces & nephews and many friends.
