Betty Pauline “Polly” West, 87, of Blue Springs, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, April 19, 2017. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Monday, April 24th at Royer-Hays Funeral Home, Blue Springs. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
Polly was born June 20, 1929, in Lebanon, Missouri, the daughter of Lloyd M. and Amanda J. (Smith) Rowden. She married Cloyd West on April 12, 1975. Polly was a homemaker, and loved to sew, knit, and crochet. She also loved fishing and being outdoors, and she always had a Chihuahua puppy.
Polly was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and three brothers: George Rowden, James Rowden, and infant Billy Ray Rowden.
Her survivors include two brothers: Francis Rowden (Dorothy) of Eldon, MO, and Russell Rowden (Jeanette) of Pleasant Hill, MO; two sisters: Dorothy Snow of Springfield, MO, and Mary Hohenfeldt of Blue Springs, MO; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family.
