Betty “Granny” Park, 90 of Oak Grove, Missouri, passed away peacefully at her home on May 6, 2015. A private memorial was held for the immediate family and a celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
She was born August 2, 1924. She was 1 of 10 children and the daughter of LJ and Mildred (Hursh) Evans of Valley Falls, Kansas. She married Arthur J. Park in 1955, and moved to Kansas City, where she was a homemaker and raised a daughter, Leanna. Betty will be remembered for her spunky personality, her infectious laugh, the best homemade noodles around, her love of playing cards, sweepstakes and lottery tickets, and for her love and devotion to her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings and husband.
Survivors include her daughter and son in law, Leanna and Gary Hughes; 3 grandchildren: Joyce and Michael Hernandez and Kevin Hughes; 5 great grandchildren: Dominic, Annie and Kaylee Hughes, and Alexa and Xavier Hernandez; and a soon to be great great grandson, Isaiah.
