Beverly J. Schwaller, 69, of Lone Jack, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, November 26, 2013. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 29th at Royer Funeral Home, Grain Valley, MO; burial in Mt. Washington Cemetery, Independence, MO. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to the Shriners.
Beverly was born December 7, 1943, in Royalton, Illinois, the daughter of Charles and Dolores (Short) Downs. She spent most of her career as a supervisor in Machine Services in the IRS.
Beverly was preceded in death by her parents, Charles & Dolores Downs; brother-in-law, Jim Barnes; two nephews, Greg Barnes & Brian Barnes, who was killed in the line of duty; and an infant Downs.
Her survivors include her husband of 49 years, Bill Schwaller of the home; two sons: Bob & Marta Schwaller of Lee’s Summit, MO, and Bruce Schwaller of Lone Jack; three grandchildren: Braxton, Brandon & Kylie Schwaller; one great-grandson, Blake Schwaller; sister, Rita Barnes of Cole Camp, MO; brother, Loyd “Bud” & Barb Downs of Independence; brother-in-law, Larry & Carol Schwaller of Texas; sister-in-law, Barbara & Ralph Vaughn of Independence; and twenty-seven nieces, nephews, great-nieces & great-nephews.
