Bobby LeRoy Johnson Sr., 77, of Oak Grove, Missouri, passed away Friday, June 23, 2017 at his home. Funeral services will be held at 6:30 p.m. Monday, June 26th at Royer Funeral Home, Oak Grove. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Bobby was born September 28, 1939, in Cameron, Missouri, the son of Alvin and Gladys (Farr) Johnson. He owned and operated Roberts Salon in Waldo, and was the top hair stylist in Kansas City. Bobby loved dogs, going to the lake, and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Bobby was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Louie Johnson; and one great-grandson, Dayton.
His survivors include his wife, Mabel Johnson; five children: Bobby LeRoy Johnson Jr., Mark A. Johnson (Karen), Richard B. Johnson (Mary), Robin D. Goldsmith (Kirk), and Randy S. Johnson (Lori); nine grandchildren: Brianna Gossage, Hillary Johnson, Kyle Johnson, Jordan Goldsmith, Ryan Johnson, Alyssa Johnson, April Johnson, Tyler Johnson, and Haden Johnson; seven great-grandchildren: Kenna, Bryden, Ace, Cain, Riley, Andrew, and Stella; two brothers: Don Johnson of Orlando, FL, and Jack Johnson of Raymore, MO; one sister, MaryAnn of Warsaw, MO; his dear friend, Michael Brackett; and his beloved dogs, LeRoy and Jessie.
