Bonnie Sue Miller passed away unexpectedly on August 28th, 2023 at the age of 57 while at home in Independence, MO. The visitation will be held from 5:00-6:00 p.m. at Bible Fellowship Center, 2502 N Liberty St, Independence, MO 64050 on Tuesday, September 5th. There will be a funeral service following at 6:00 p.m., officiated by Pastor Rick Williams.
Bonnie was born on October 25th, 1965 in Kansas City, Mo., to Gary Jones and Beverly Ross. She lived most of her life in the Kansas City area, and graduated from East High School. She had her only child, her son Eric Day, on May 10th, 1987. In 1994, she married her beloved husband, Rick Miller. Bonnie enjoyed spending time with her husband, grandchildren, and family.
Bonnie was one of the most giving, fun-loving, and authentic people you would ever meet. She enjoyed making people laugh and putting on a show, and nothing embarrassed her. She had a feisty personality and defended her loved ones fiercely. Anything she could do or give that made her family happy, made her happy. Bonnie will be loved and missed dearly by her family and friends.
After Bonnie’s son Eric passed away in 2019, she greatly missed him but cherished the 5 grandchildren that he left her, and loved making memories with them. We find comfort in knowing that she is happy to be reunited with her Lord and Savior, and her son.
Bonnie is survived by her husband Rick Miller (Papa), mother Beverly Ross, stepfather (who she called dad) Richard Ross, and grandchildren by Shelby Day: Cameron, Logan McKayla, Jaxon, and Colin; grandchild by Tia St. Clair, Lela Day; siblings Tina Jones, Gary Jones (Becky Jones), and Lisa Perez, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her son, Eric Logan Day, her father, Gary Lee Jones, her grandparents, Logan Collins (Marie), Lela Buck, Lillian Jones, Marvin Jones, Marceline Boller and niece McKayla Perez.
In lieu of flowers, there will be a donation box at the funeral service to help with funeral expenses. The funeral home requests that any checks be made payable to Rick Miller.

I can’t believe you are gone, you have been the best mother in law a girl could ask for, amazing grandma to me and Eric’s babies. I miss you so much, I am so use to us talking pretty much everyday, planning a dinner or swimming. My heart is heavy you were all that me and the kids had left, but I know you missed Eric so, i am glad you both are back together now.. we love you and miss you so much.
