Brent T. Rodman


Brent Tyler Rodman, 42, of Oak Grove, Missouri, passed away on Wednesday, June 17, 2026. A visitation will be held Thursday, June 25, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., followed by a funeral service at 7:00 p.m., at Royer Funeral Home in Grain Valley, Missouri.

Brent was born on December 17, 1983, in Kansas City, Missouri, to Thomas and Lu Dawn Rodman. Brent was known for his warm smile, friendly nature, and ability to make others laugh. A true jokester at heart, he never met a stranger and had a gift for making people feel welcome. He loved spending time with family and friends and was always ready with a hug for those he cared about. Brent enjoyed many of life’s simple pleasures. He loved spending time at the lake, being outdoors, listening to music, watching television and movies, and relaxing on his beloved John Deere lawn mower. Family was the center of his life, and he was especially proud to be an uncle. He cherished his girlfriend’s son, Teddy, as well as his nieces and nephews and treasured every opportunity to spend time with them. Brent was also a man of faith who loved the Lord.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Thomas W. and Virginia Rodman, and Roy and Beverly Hartman.

Brent is survived by his loving parents, Thomas and Lu Dawn Rodman of Independence, Missouri; his sister, Stacy Simpson and husband Doyle of Odessa, Missouri; his brothers, Brad Rodman of Cape Coral, Florida, and Brian Rodman and wife Nicole of Blue Springs, Missouri; his nephews, Logan Simpson and Ethan Simpson; his nieces, Sydney Rodman, Addison Rodman, Lillianna George and Hunter Rodman; his girlfriend, Jacque Arni of Oak Grove, Missouri, and her son, Teddy; along with many extended family members and friends who will miss him dearly.

Brent’s kindness, laughter, generous spirit, and love for family will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
