Carol Elaine Christy, 75, of Blue Springs, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, May 29, 2018 at Oak Grove Nursing & Rehab, Oak Grove, MO. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, June 1st at Royer Funeral Home, Grain Valley, MO; burial in Greenton Cemetery, Odessa, MO. The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. until service time at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Carol was born May 19, 1943, in Concordia, Missouri, the daughter of Ralph and Jewell (Elling) Schloman. She enjoyed gardening and flowers, going to Branson, and going to Dinner Theater. She was a member of the Blue Springs Assembly of God Church in Grain Valley.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents, and two siblings, Donna and Jerry.
Her survivors include her husband, Ray Christy; two sons, Rick Christy (Stefanie) and Todd Christy (Dyna); five grandchildren: Danielle, Dominic, Kandyz (Derek), Kazady, & Kelzey; two great-grandchildren: Easton & Jaxon; and sister-in-law, Carroll Denney (Randy).

22 Aug 2020Carol will be missed by many. She had such a kind heart & a style all her own. We shared many common interests and enjoyed our time together usually every week. We belonged to our club called the Cowgirls! Cowgirls don’t cry, ride baby ride. We had a lot of fun together. Blessings & most sincere condolences to her husband & family & friends. 22 Aug 2020Carol was a faithful volunteer at St Mary’s Medical Center. She worked every Monday in the Gift Shop, She was great with the customers and enjoyed the other ladies she worked with. It was a joy to know Carol and to work with her. Ray and Dyna you are in my prayers. – Lillian Ratliff
