Carolyn Ann Douglas, 76, of Oak Grove, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, January 14, 2015 at St. Mary’s Medical Center, Blue Springs. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, January 18th at Royer Funeral Home, Oak Grove; burial in Oak Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home. Contributions can be made to World Changers Inc.
Carolyn was born August 22, 1938, in Strafford, Iowa, the daughter of Fred J.R. and Anna M. (Allen) Swanson. She worked at World Changers Inc. for 35 years. Carolyn was a devout Christian and a member of Echo Church in Pleasant Hill, MO. She was an avid sports fan, and enjoyed reading and pinning on Pinterest. Carolyn was a wonderful mother & grandmother, and especially loved caring for her special needs daughter, Nancy.
Her survivors include a son, William C. Douglas (Becky) of Windsor, MO; four daughters: Carrie Kolb (Aaron) of Guadalajara, Mexico, Nancy A. Douglas of the home, Karen L. Douglas of Oak Grove, & Kelly R. Douglas of Oak Grove; five grandchildren: Brandon Kolb, Jeremy Kolb, John Kolb, Sarah Entrop, & Jacob Douglas; and seven great-grandchildren: Mathias, Johan, Valerie, Kevin, Marcelo, Wyatt, & Grant.
