Carrie L. Winkler age 64 of Independence, MO passed away on July 9^th, 2023. Carrie was born on Nov 15^th, 1959 in Kansas City, MO. She was proceeded in death by her father Robert Croft, her mother Patsy Croft and her Sister Debbie Baker. She is survived by her husband Perry Duncan aka. Dennis, her son and daughter in-law Cody and Sharilyn Winkler, her daughter and son in-law Bryanna and Joshua Robinson, as well as her 4 grandson’s Austin and Dylan Winkler, Jace and Gavin Robinson, and 3 granddaughter’s Mina, Willow, and Nevaeh Robinson. Carrie graduated from Van Horn High School and enjoyed antiquing, collecting items of all kinds including Hallmark ornaments, beanie babies, and jewelry. Her true passion was saving the lives of countless animals over the years and could never say no to an animal in need. She founded a rescue group CR Kittens which Carrie and her husband Dennis ran for several years no doubt saving the lives of many animals who would have otherwise perished without their help. Carrie was a strong willed, stubborn woman who never took no for an answer and was always willing to help those she loved most. Carrie left her mark on this world and will be forever and always loved and missed.
