Cecil Keeler, 90, of Independence, Missouri, passed away Sunday, June 7, 2015. A visitation will be held from 3:00 – 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 10th at New Salem Funeral Home, Independence; followed by a private graveside in New Salem Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to John Knox Hospice.
Cecil was born December 10, 1924 in Willow Springs, MO, the son of Robert and Bessie (McClellan) Keeler. He was a veteran of WWII, serving in the Army. Cecil was a member of Northern Blvd. United Methodist Church.
Cecil was preceded in death by his wife, Yvonne; his parents; 2 brothers; and 1 sister. He is survived by 1 brother, Bob Keeler of Belton; 1 sister, Clara Mitchell of TN; and several nieces & nephews.
