Cecil Ray Davis, 80, of Grain Valley, MO, passed away Thursday, May 10, 2007, at St. Joseph Hospital, Kansas City, MO. Funeral services will be at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, May 13th at Royer Funeral Home, Grain Valley. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2:00 p.m. until service time. Inurnment will take place at a later time in Blue Springs Cemetery.

Cecil was born on February 25, 1927 in El Dorado Springs, MO, the son of Johnny and Ida Davis. He worked for Adams Dairy Farm for several years and Kent Products in Olathe, KS until his retirement. The her worked part-time for the Blue Springs School District in food service for 15 years. Cecil was a member of the Teamsters Union and an avid fisherman. he was preceded in death by his wife, Marjorie (Hedrick) Davis in September 2002, and on brother and one sister.

He is survived by one son: Larry Davis & wife Patricia of Independence, MO; one daughter, Linda Sue Wakeman & husband Richard Lee of Blue Springs, MO; one sister: Claudean Hayes of El Dorado Springs, MO; four grandchildren: Tina Wakeman, Michele Wakeman, Brian Wright, & Jason Wright; and two great-grandchildren: Bradley & Allison Wright.
