Charles Herman Daughtrey Jr., 74, of Lone Jack, Missouri, passed away Monday, February 11, 2019 at Centerpoint Medical Center, Independence, MO. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 14th at Royer Funeral Home, Oak Grove, MO; burial in Sni Mills Cemetery, Lone Jack. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Charles was born July 20, 1944 in Elkton, Virginia, the son of Charles H. Sr. and Lucille F. (Dean) Daughtrey. He was a Navy Veteran and worked as a welder. He loved gardening, fishing, working on his tractor, and especially spending time with his family.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Sandra; one daughter, Monica Daughtrey; his brother, Robert Daughtrey; and two sisters: Mary Fessler and Geraldine Smith.
His survivors include five children: Charles Daughtrey (Cindy) of Blue Springs, MO, Ronald Daughtrey (Carmen) of Bates City, MO, Gwen Wheeler of Oak Grove, Steven Daughtrey (Diana) of Montreal, MO, and Leah Everett (Jim) of Joplin, MO; fourteen grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.
