Charles Lester McFee, 88, of Oak Grove, MO, passed away Friday, June 4, 2010 at his home. Services will be Monday, June 7th at the New Life Assembly of God, Oak Grove. Visitation will be from 9-10 a.m. with the funeral beginning at 10 a.m. Burial will be at 2 p.m. at the Winston Cemetery in Winston, MO. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to either Winston Cemetery Association or the Alzheimer’s Association.
Charles was born on February 15, 1922 in Altamont, MO, the son of Walter & Ida Mae (Burnham) McFee. He married Rosie M. Rank on April 16, 1949. Charles had been employed at A. Reich & Son for 32 years. He then worked for the Oak Grove School District as a custodian until retiring in 1989. He was a member of New Life Assembly of God in Oak Grove.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, and eight of his siblings.
His survivors include a daughter: Marie Turner & husband Larry of Bates City, MO; a son: Walter McFee & wife Angie of Oak Grove; two granddaughters: Michelle Turner of Bates City and Jessica McFee of Oak Grove; and several nieces, nephews & cousins.
