Charley Lester Nix, 56, of Oak Grove, Missouri, passed away Sunday, November 24, 2019. Memorial services will be held on Friday, December 6th at First Baptist Church of Oak Grove, with visitation from 5:00 – 6:00 p.m. followed by the memorial at 6:00 p.m.
Charley was born March 29, 1963, in Independence, Missouri, the son of Cliff and Joanne Nix. He married Penny L. Robinette on February 9, 2001Charley worked for Hiland Dairy as a truck driver for 11 years, and was a member of the Teamsters Union Local 41. He enjoyed building things, remodeling, and working with his hands, most of all he loved his family, especially his wife and grandson. Charley lived life to the fullest and always had a smile on his face.
Charley was preceded in death by his mother; and sister, Donna Fields. His survivors include his wife, Penny Nix of the home; three children: Steven Nix of North Kansas City, MO, Whitney Hydorn of Sebewaing, MI, and Mikenna Ambrusko (Joey) of Oak Grove; grandson, Colt Brown; his father, Cliff Nix of Grain Valley, MO; three siblings: Charlotte Barrington (Chris) of Blue Springs, MO, Lee Nix (Melissa) of Independence, and Lisa Dolan (Steve) of Grain Valley; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family.
