Cheryl Lynn Lewis, 62, of Warsaw, Missouri, formerly of Independence, MO, passed away Wednesday, January 23, 2019. Memorial services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 31st at Royer’s New Salem Funeral Home, Independence. The family will greet friends from 2:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home. Inurnment will be held in New Salem Cemetery at a later date.
Cheryl was born August 14, 1956, in Kansas City, Missouri, the daughter of Jerl Lee and Doris Janice (Ditzfeld) Lewis. She was fun at heart and loved to play jokes, shuffleboard, and dice and card games. Most of all, Cheryl loved spending time with her kids, grandkids, and friends. She will be deeply missed.
Cheryl was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Jason Willis; and one brother, Daniel Lewis.
Her survivors include one son, Chad Lewis (Holly Plummer) of Independence, MO; six grandchildren: Dakota Willis, Shae Willis, Alana Willis, Jerl Lewis, Landen Lewis, and Jason Lewis; one great-grandson, Carter Willis; one brother, Tony Lewis; and her sister, Kathy Wackerman.
