Clarence L. Keck


Clarence Leroy Keck, 75, of Lone Jack, MO, received his final healing on Sunday, January 29, 2006. He went to be with the Lord very peacefully in his sleep at the Oak Grove Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 1st at Royer Funeral Home, Grain Valley, MO; burial in Floral Hills East. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Royer’s Grain Valley.

Leroy was born on January 8, 1931 in Lone Jack, the son of Clarence and Mary (Reinkind) Keck. He lived in and around the Lone Jack area most of his life. He graduated from the Lone Jack High School in 1948 and served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He married Rosezella Elizabeth Waugh on June 30, 1951. Leroy had been the U.S. Postal Service rural mail carrier for lone Jack for 32 years. He was a deacon of Calvary Assembly of God. Leroy was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing, and has an extensive collection of American Indian arrowheads and artifacts – a lifelong hobby.

He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Clarence H. Keck in 1993 and Mary L. Keck in 2004.

Leroy is survived by his wife of 54 years, Rosezella Keck of the home; two daughters: Kathy Poole-Bowers and her husband William of Chesterfield, MO, and Brenda Summers and her husband Ronny of Lee’s Summit, MO; a brother, John E. Keck and his wife Mary Ellen of Oak Grove; four grandchildren: Adam Summers, Heather Atkinson, Zachary Poole, and Karlyn Poole; and four great-grandchildren: Taygan Summers, Delaney Summers, Eli Atkinson, and Ean Atkinson.
